Donny Osmond, upstanding Mormon that he is, would never bet on sports.
If he ever did, though, it appears the singer would be good at it.
Osmond's football prognosticating scored him first place in the Las Vegas Sun's annual celebrity pick-the-winners competition, according to the Sun's Sal DeFilippo.
Osmond, who headlines at the Flamingo with his sister Marie, scored a record 28-22-1, or 56 percent, to win the coveted "Golden Nerf" trophy. That was one game better than Tara Palsha, principal dancer at Planet Hollywood's "Vegas! The Show," and two games above Planet Hollywood's comic hypnotist Marc Savard.
Osmond's win ends the two-year domination of magician Lance Burton, who also won the Golden Nerf in 2001, when the contest began. |
